Three players undergo surgeries
Three Tennessee football players underwent surgery Tuesday.
Offensive lineman Anthony Parker, cornerback Marsalous Johnson and running back Tauren Poole all had minor arthroscopic knee procedures.
Poole, a true freshman, played with a meniscus injury in his left knee this spring.
Parker had surgery on his left knee, but participated in spring practice.
Both Parker and Poole should be at full strength in 3-5 weeks.
Johnson had a follow-up procedure on his right knee and is expected to be back in 2-3 weeks.
Johnson, who did not participate in spring practice, started all seven games before suffering a torn meniscus prior to UT’s victory over South Carolina on Oct. 27.
Dr. Greg Mathien and Dr. Matt Rappe of Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic performed the surgeries on Poole, Parker and Johnson.
On Monday, starting quarterback Jonathan Crompton underwent surgery on his right elbow and should be at full strength in no more than six weeks.
